Set up

Reserve a server: Work with your IT team to allocate the platform: Reserve servers, enable network traffic, install a database, and create a file share.
Configure: Base64.ai Team will provide the configuration files specific to your platform and on-premises package. Our team will need your external public IP address to create your subscription.
Install: Typically takes under 15 minutes.
Run: Start using the solution.

Notes

Base64.ai supports Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift environments.
Base64.ai recommends the PostgreSQL database.
While Base64.ai can work on CPU-only servers, it works even faster on GPUs. We recommend the Nvidia A100 40GB series.
The deployment requires an active Internet connection for periodic license checks.

After running on-premises

Security: Our AI will process documents in your environment and does not send documents, OCR, or extracted data to the Internet.
Reporting issues: If you experience issues, Base64.ai Support Team will need to see logs or error codes. You should also share the document that throws an exception. Base64.ai may ask to deploy a new build to fix the issue. You may contact Customer Success for support via email at support@base64.ai.
License check: The deployment periodically pings the licensing server in the cloud. The AI service will shut itself down if it cannot reach the licensing server for an extended period. License signal includes only deployment information such as container ID, subscription key, and usage statistics.
Updates: Base64.ai will update the deployment once a quarter at your permission.
